Bones or No Bones? Only Noodle Can Decide

Have you ever heard someone say it is a bones day or a no bones day? It may have involved this cute little guy! If the answer was yes than great and if the answer was no, I will explain. Bones or no bones revolves around this adorable thirteen year old pug named Noodle. Everyday Noodle's owner will pick him up and see if Noodle sits up in his bed or if he just falls back down. Don't worry Noodle is not harmed in any way, he actually quite enjoys it. Now you may be wondering what this has to do with bones or no bones. Well, if Noodle falls down then he has no bones but if he catches himself then he has bones. A bones day means that you should go out and do what you want! If you want to ask for a job promotion you deserve but you are afraid to do it, you should just ask for it! And if it is a no bones day that means it is a day to relax and take care of yourself, maybe do an extra face mask. Noodle has taken over Tik Tok and there are hundreds of Millennials who now based their d...

Ben and Jerry's: Into The World of Doggo Desserts

Do you have a dog? Would you give your dog ice cream? Founded in 1978, in Burlington Vermont, Ben and Jerry's is our favorite social aware ice cream business. Ben and Jerry's social media pages are full of promotional material on their ice cream flavors as well as social justice graphics to inform its consumers on various things going on in the world. Ben and Jerry's found itself in a pickle (and not the ice cream flavor thankful) when it came to social media and the groundswell comments. After returning from a social media hiatus in July, the company had some catching up to do. You can read more about Ben and Jerry's and their social media hiatus on my previous blog post ! How did Ben and Jerry's come back from this hiatus? With its standard promotional and social postings, and one additional social media campaign. Dogs! That's right you heard me, Ben and Jerry's is marketing to all the dog owners with their Doggie Desserts Wall of Wags Contest. Ben and Jer...

Hooters, Tik Tok, and Engaging with Employees

Hooters? Have you every heard of that place? You may have seen the owl logo before, potentially on Tik Tok. A classmate of mine did a blog last week about another famous owl logo, you can read it here . But, for now, back to Hooters. Hooters is an American restaurant chain that was founded in 1983. It serves traditional food such as hamburgers, steak, seafood, appetizers, and other similar items. The restaurant's name is a double entendre referring to the slang term relating to women's breasts and for the sound that owls (the logo) makes. The restaurant is best know for the young women who are hired as waitresses, who are often referred to as "Hooters Girls." It is these "Hooters Girls" and the uniforms they are asked to wear, which are quite revealing, that we are going to talk about today. Here is an example of the Hooter's uniform A few days ago, maybe about a week ago, I came across a Tik Tok on my For You Page that talked about the new Hooters unif...

Harry Styles's Fashion Love Spreads to Fans

Would you buy a new outfit to wear to a concert? The answer from many Harry Styles fans, amid his Love on Tour concert set, would be a yes. Harry Styles is a 27 year old English singer and actor. He began his career in 2010 on the X Factor where he became a member of the boy band One Direction. In 2016, the band parted ways and Harry began his solo music career. This solo career opened up many paths for the young artist. You may recognize Harry from his vouge cover (or any other number of things honestly), as he was the first male to be given a solo cover and he wore a dress. Harry began to find himself in his sound as a solo artist. The freedom he found in music extended to the clothes he chose to wear and music videos produced. Harry has now become known as a fashion icon for the current generation . Harry dresses in a way that allows him to express himself by breaking gender norms. He wears pinks, kilts, skirts, lace, patterns, and changes his style to fit where he feels he is at i...

Ben and Jerry's: Into the World of Ice Cream

Do you still like eating ice cream in the fall or winter?   Every time of the year is time for ice cream, even with fall upon us. Its a nice frozen treat that we can put on top of all of our favorite fall sweets, like apple crisp, pumpkin pie, or maybe even in a nice cup of hot chocolate. Yum! My favorite flavor is Ben and Jerry's mint chocolate cookie. There is nothing wrong with a nice pint of ice cream, is there? Well there might be. Ben and Jerry's social media presence disappeared for two months. On Instagram Ben and Jerry's posted a reel of their new vegan thumbprint cookies on May 18, 2021. The company then was silent, completely inactive, until July 19, 2021. The first post upon the company's return was simple, here it is: Ben and Jerry's was founded in 1978 in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont. The ice cream shop grew in popularity, spreading to more cities and being distributed in mom and pop shops in pints. Now it is the large brand we know ...

#PitMad: Tradition Publishing Meets Twitter

Have you ever seen #PitMad on your Twitter feed? We all find ourselves scrolling through social media at times. And then we are bombarded by various messages from companies, celebrities, and our friends at every turn. And on Twitter those messages only have so many characters to grasp your attention. They cannot ramble on and on like they can on a blog, which can lead to us tuning out the messages we don't want to hear. I am extremely guilty of this. However, every once in awhile I stumble across something that piques my interest. In this case it was #PitMad. Our twitter feeds are full of the content we decide to follow. We pick topics and Twitter gives us recommendations. My personal twitter account follows publishing companies, editors, literary agents, and fellow writers. You could say that Twitter is the LinkedIn of my writing career. When I stumbled across #PitMad I was immediately intrigued. I saw multiple posts with variations of the phrase "are you doing PitMad this ye...
